Consulting Services

Over my career, I have had the opportunity to take on a variety of roles in management, consulting, coaching, training, and managing client relationships.   I have worked with executives, managers, and teams for technology, healthcare, consumer products, and financial services firms.  These experiences have provided an understanding of individual and group dynamics within organizations. They have informed me about the importance of empowering managers and employees, effectively communicating, and working through the bottlenecks that hinder organizational goals.  A sample client list includes Heinz, Amtrak, New York City Health and Hospitals, Texas Instruments, IBM, McCain Foods, Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital, and Analog Devices.  I work with a team of senior Employee Assistance (EAP) and Mindfulness training professionals to offer comprehensive EAP services.

Following are some the management services offered through myself or my associates:

  • Management Consultation - Management often deal with employees with performance issues that are caused by personal issues, and the impact of events such as layoffs on the workforce.  I provide consultation about the most effective ways to respond and follow-up.
  • Executive Coaching – Coaching around effective leadership, interpersonal communication, managing critical relationships, and career transition, building self-awareness and confidence for enhanced performance and sustainable results.
  • Team Development – Effective teams need clarity of purpose, leadership (formal and informal), structure, and motivation.  I consult to teams about establishing the optimal infrastructure, understanding and leveraging group process, and addressing individual and group pitfalls.
  • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing – Left untreated, critical incidents (death, accidents, violent events) can disturb a workforce.  Debriefings provide a forum for employees to express their feeling and concerns, help normalize their reactions, and help mitigate the after effects.
  • Meeting Planning and Facilitation – Like painting a room, much of the success of a meeting is determined by the level of preparation.  I work with leaders to plan effective meetings and provide facilitation as needed.
  • Training workshops including the following:

    • Adjustment to changes in role (promotion or demotion)
    • Dealing with difficult employees
    • Dealing with trauma at the workplace
